Guernsey Project Management FAQs

The most-asked questions about our Project Management services. Can’t find the answer? Reach out to us on our contact form.

What does a Construction Project Manager do?

A Construction Project Manager oversees every stage of your build, from initial planning through to handover. They coordinate the design team, contractors, and suppliers while managing cost, programme, quality, and risk – ensuring your project runs smoothly.

Why hire a Project Manager if I already have a builder?

Your builder focuses on construction. A Project Manager protects your interests, manages the overall plan, coordinates all parties, controls budgets, and resolves issues before they cause delays or extra costs.

Can you work with my existing Architect, Engineer, or Quantity Surveyor?

Absolutely. We regularly lead projects where the client has their own design team in place, integrating them into a single coordinated plan. However we do also have our own in-house Architect, Engineer and Quantity Surveyor so if you are missing any of those important roles we can step in.

How do you keep projects on budget?

We start with a clear budget baseline, monitor expenditure closely, and manage changes through a formal approval process—working with the Quantity Surveyor to identify savings where possible.

How do you handle Guernsey’s unique logistics challenges?

By planning early. We factor in shipping lead times, storage capacity, delivery schedules, and local labour availability to avoid costly delays.

What size of projects do you manage?

We handle everything from small home renovations to multi-million-pound commercial builds. Our approach is tailored to the size and complexity of each project.
